Supporting local businesses and purchasing locally made products can have a significant positive impact on the economy at both the community and national levels. By choosing to buy or source locally, we aim to bring vitality and sustainability of local economies.

This year alone, we purchased over $750,000 of floral products, all brokered or grown by local companies, significantly contributing to the international agriculture industry and the local wholesale industry.

Due to the high volume of flowers purchased during the course of Artisan Bloom’s history, Artisan Bloom was invited to attend the Alsmeer Trade Fair in Holland to meet with logistics companies to explore expanding better access to the global floral market, resulting in a more diverse option of farms and crop varieties. Our goal was not to cut out local wholesalers, but to create a bigger demand for a more diverse product selection. The result was an entire season of beautiful diverse blooms grown, imported, or brokered ENTIRELY by local companies.

“The local cut flower industry is relatively new in Utah (5 years).  It is fabulous that florists - like Artisan Bloom - are exploring local flower options and working with farms to get the quality and type of flowers needed for their events. It helps to elevate the industry as a whole.   Personally, the relationship with Artisan Bloom has allowed me to provide the quantities of fresh top quality dahlias needed to have a successful business while maintaining a work-life balance”. - Lindsay Waddoups, Owner of Three Sprouts Farms in Utah
