Rooted in Nature: Artisan Bloom's Mountain-Inspired Elegance

Growing up at the base of the Wasatch Mountains, Kellie Jackstien of Artisan Bloom is a true local with an understanding and respect for the subtle nuances of changing seasons and the natural beauty of a mountain setting. Artisan prides itself on its ability to combine passion, artistry, and professionalism in every event it produces.

A Resilient Rise

It wasn't an easy start. "I began with nothing. No capital, no investors, no staff, no formal office space, and no real leads”. Nine months after opening Artisan Bloom in 2000, the country was devastated by 9/11. While we were navigating through this new fear of 'terror alerts' and 'travel advisories' the travel and tourism industry took a tremendous hit. For a company whose primary market was destination weddings and corporate events, that uphill climb became even more challenging" says Jackstien. "However, through hard work, persistence, and an amazing network of coordinators and venues who believed in the brand, Artisan Bloom not only survived but has thrived.

From Law School Dreams to Blossoming a Floral Empire

Kellie created Artisan Bloom in the Fall of 2000 after graduating from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science and her eyes set on Law School. She worked at local flower shops throughout her undergraduate years and when the time came to pursue graduate work, she couldn't leave her love for design and her life with flowers behind. She launched Artisan Bloom with no capital, no storefront, and no clients. She made up for that with drive, motivation, hard work, and the desire to create weddings inspired by nature but elevated in timeless and sophisticated ways.

Building a Dream

During Artisan Bloom's first year of business in 2000, they completed 10 weddings designed by Kellie and 1 part-time contracted assistant. Though Artisan Bloom's growth has been steady, they have quickly risen through the ranks in the wedding industry. Their work has been featured in multiple major print magazines and online publications, making Artisan Bloom one of the nationally recognized influences in the world of weddings.

Through growth and the implementation of an intelligent workflow, Kellie successfully scaled her company while maintaining the integrity of the Artisan Bloom brand. By 2024, they were averaging over 300 weddings and events a year with 10 full-time year-round employees and over 115 contracted designers. Artisan Bloom continues to grow in masses each year… What Kellie imagined is now in motion, and there's so much more to come.
